The Hacienda Motor Lodge will endeavour to make the New Zealand of tomorrow a better place for all through their commitment to responsible tourism. The Hacienda Motor Lodge will undertake their commitment through energy efficiency, waste management and water conservation within their complex without diminishing the quality experience for the guest and through conservation initiatives and community input. As tangible evidence of the Hacienda's commitment to the ongoing maintenance and improvement in the environmental and social conduct of its operation the Hacienda Motor Lodge was awarded Qualmark Enviro Silver and was the winner of the Palmerston North City Council Innovative Recyclers Award Business Category in 2002. We have put in place procedures where you, as our guests, can assist us with the implementation of our environmental sustainability programme. However, there is no expectation that you do. The choice is entirely yours. |
